Although fees in the UK have risen to up to £9000, causing a general drop in applications, chemical engineering continues to see a rise in demand. With 11,890 applications, numbers are up by 12.4% on last year at this time, in contrast to an overall 7% drop. Fees in Ireland, for all first-time EU citizens, are €2250 per year. After much public debate, the predicted rise in future years is €250 per year. Students from the UK and mainland Europe can apply though the Central Applications Office, www.cao.ie, for our course: CR105.
