All part-time programmes at CIT CCAD will run subject to sufficient student numbers. Where a programme cannot proceed, applicants will be contacted and advised on alternative study options.
Students should note that Fees quoted relate to the academic year 2017-2018 only and are subject to change on an annual basis. Except where stated, course fees cover the cost of tuition only.
Students will be notified of their fees by email to their CIT email account and in all cases, course fees must be paid before attending lectures.
An Information/Registration session will take place on Thursday 7th September from 6.00pm to 8.00pm at the CIT Crawford College of Art & Design, Sharman Crawford Street, Cork. College staff will be in attendance to offer career guidance and assistance.
Course Fee: €480
Wednesdays: 6.30pm - 9.00pm.
This course is grounded is practical instruction to enable the student make informed artistic choices when using an analogue camera, studio lighting, developing film and making prints in the darkroom. It is a practical hands-on ‘learning through doing’ course with a project based outcome for assessment and includes a local field trip. The course is suitable for beginners and those with experience of using a camera and darkroom. To complement the practical we will have a group presentation and discussions on contemporary photography. Group critiques and peer learning will be a valuable part of this learning process for students to realise their creative potential. In tandem with this, students will be expected to give time to their projects outside contact hours.
CIT: Single Module Certification, 5 ECTS credits at Level 6 on the National Framework of Qualifications.
