Congratulations to recent Masters of Architecture graduates Eoghan Horgan and Kieran Cremin who are winners of the European Architectural Prize for Innovation 2015. Their project "Entangled Cultural Dissonance" was distinguished in The European Architectural Medals for the best Diploma Project.

Congratulations to Architecture graduate Aisling Byrne who was amongst the final shortlisted Projects recognised in the Awards for her project "Collective Amalgam- Ephemeral Traces".

Both studies were carried out in the Cork Centre for Architectural Education (UCC/CIT) and supervised by Jason O'Shaughnessy and Eve Olney.

Organised by UAUIM together with EAAE and ACE, the Awards seek to acknowledge the Best Diploma Project in architecture, and to recognize the highest level of design knowledge and skill employed in addressing three influential themes of architectural design. The competition is an European competition open to students enrolled in an Architectural School in Europe at Master level who have defended their Diploma Projects in the 2014 – 2015 academic year.

Both projects will be presented in an upcoming Architecture Symposium in February 2016, which will involve all seven Schools of Architecture in Ireland presenting their work together. CCAE will be the host venue for this, and anyone interested in details for this event can expect further details to be announced in the coming weeks.
