CLOSING DATE: Thursday, 30th April 2015. 

A programme will be delivered for FE students who wish to meet the Maths minimum requirement for entry into programmes of study in the Business and Humanities field in Cork Institute of Technology September 2015.

This programme is suitable for students who are applying for programmes of study in the Business and Humanities field in Cork Institute of Technology in September 2015, and who are:

• mature students who do not have a Leaving Certificate or specific FETAC Maths modules; OR
• school leavers who failed ordinary/higher level Leaving Certificate Maths; OR
• school leavers who took foundation level Maths in their leaving certificate exam.

Currently in CIT if a prospective student does not meet the Maths requirement, any points accumulated through the FETAC award cannot be used for entry into year 1.

This Maths initiative is for prospective students who wish to apply using their FETAC points, but do not hold a relevant qualification in Maths. The programme is free of charge. There will be 30 places available and these will be allocated to the first 30 applicants.

Students who have an award which includes particular FETAC Maths modules (eg C20139 or 5N1833 or C20174 or C20175) do not need to take this exam.

• When: Mon 25th May, Wed 27th May, Fri 29th May, Tue 2nd June, and Wed 3rd June
• Time: 9.30am - 1pm      
• Exam: Friday 5th June (exam), 10am - 12noon
• Venue: Cork Institute of Technology
