Guitar Plus will also be joined by flautist Sorcha McMahon and All Ireland Oireachtas winning fiddle player Brendan O hIarnain. Brendan is from the Aran Islands and is a student at NMCI.

A unique opportunity to see two top-class big bands in action at the CIT Cork School of Music. First on the bill is a project big band put together by fourth-year BMus student Paul Dunlea as a final year showcase for his own compositions and arrangements. He has assembled some of the finest professional musicians in Ireland for what should be a fantastic set. Topping the bill in the second half will be the Jazz Ensemble from Shenandoah Conservatory in Virginia, a mixture of students and faculty that includes several award winning arrangers and soloists.
