Top Engineers on Show at Europe's Largest Engineering Exhibition here at CIT

25th Annual Cork Mechanical, Manufacturing and Biomedical Engineering Exhibition
14th April  2pm - 9pm

Exhibition is free and open to the public

“Biomedical Engineering – Engineers of the Future Aiding Mankind” is this year’s theme and the exhibition will feature in excess of 180 projects – by far the largest educational and innovation engineering event in Ireland and perhaps even in Europe. CIT President, Dr Brendan Murphy said that the theme of this year’s Exhibition indicates the vital role that engineers play in everyone’s life, “engineering covers all aspects of our lives today and Biomedical Engineering in particular plays a vital role in the continuing success, and growth, of knowledge based industry in this country.”

Students of CIT's Department of Mechanical, Manufacturing and Biomedical Engineering have enjoyed phenomenal success at International Competitions, including Mark Quigley achieving recognition as Top Undergraduate at the International Medical Engineering Competition in London this year. Mark will be one of the exhibitors at the exhibition, which will be held on Thursday, 14th April, in the Nexus Courtyard in CIT's Bishopstown Campus.

Centrepiece Exhibits include the Inaugural Final Year Capstone Projects 2010/11 of the new CIT Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) in Building Services Engineering Level 8 Degree.
