Career & Postgraduate Options Fair

Venue: CIT Nexus, Student Centre, Bishopstown Campus.

Career & Postgraduate Options Fair provides an opportunity for CIT students, staff and graduates to meet representatives from multinational and Irish companies. Most of the companies attending had job opportunities for final year students/graduates and/or placement opportunities.

The Career & Postgraduate Options Fair 2011 was officially opened by Mr Sean Sherlock, Minister of State, Department of Enterprise, Jobs & Innovation and Department of Education & Skills with responsibility for Research & Innovation.   

This year’s Fair included:

  • Employers – leading national and international companies as well as local businesses either actively recruiting or providing students with information on possible opportunities for the future.  These employers met and talked to students from all disciplines. 
  • CIT Postgraduate Options – providing information to students on opportunities for progression to 4th level education at Cork Institute of Technology including research and taught programmes.
  • Volunteering Opportunities – students got the opportunity to look at voluntary work in Ireland and abroad, as well as teaching abroad.
  • Travel Options – information was provided on spending the summer abroad or taking a year out after college to travel and work abroad.
