CIT's Engineering, Science & Technology Roadshow > Charleville 19th January 2015

After hugely successful events in Midleton, Bandon, Macroom, NMCI in Ringaskiddy, and the Bishopstown Campus, the Cork Institute of Technology Engineering, Science & Technology Roadshow travels on Monday, 19th January 2015 to Charleville Park Hotel for a 7pm start.

This Roadshow provides students with comprehensive information about the wide range of possibilities available to them. Selecting the engineering, science, technology or computing courses that best fits their abilities can be a daunting exercise for students and in order to demystify the relevant areas, and to provide guidance to those interested in studying at degree level, CIT has created this initiative to help ensure that they, their supporters, teachers and guidance counsellors can explore their options in a friendly environment where they can engage with current students, past graduates, and CIT lecturers.

“Many students have the talent and aptitude to study engineering, science, technology and computing”, says Michael Loftus, Head of Faculty of Engineering & Science at CIT. A Chartered Engineer and Member of the Irish Computer Society who worked in industry for over 15 years, Michael says that careers in all of these areas provide exciting opportunities for both female and male students. “While male students continue to be attracted to pursue studies in these areas, more female students are being attracted into both new and traditional courses” he continued.

CIT continues to be remarkably successful in producing National, and European, Award Winners in Engineering, Science and Technology. In addition, it attracts multimillion-euro research funding every year.
