Information seminars for guidance counsellors & chemistry teachers on chemical engineering

CIT’s Department of Process, Energy & Transport Engineering are offering afternoon seminars to support guidance counsellors and chemistry teachers in explaining the role and practice of the chemical engineer in modern society.
Practising chemical engineers from industry, as well as CIT staff, will explain the different roles undertaken by chemical engineers in Ireland, the career opportunities, and the attributes sought in prospective students.
Two afternoon sessions are offered: Tues 21st, Thurs 23rd Feb 2012. Numbers are limited to 20 at each session, so early booking is advised.
Venue: Cork Institute of Technology.
To celebrate Engineers Week, CIT are delighted to partner with Pfizer Ireland Pharmaceuticals and Eli Lilly, who are hosting these sessions. Activities will include a site tour, giving opportunities to bring back local examples to the classroom.
