Course Summary

The aim of this module is to provide personnel with an electrical background, the theoretical and practical knowledge and competencies required to install, program and commission a KNX installation. KNX is an open standard for commercial and domestic building automation. KNX devices can manage lighting, blinds and shutters, HVAC, security systems, energy management, audio video, white goods, displays, remote control, etc.

Admission Requirements:

Offered on a part-time basis across 11 weeks, 1 evening a week 6pm – 9:30pm. (In conjunction with Apprenticeship timetable).

 

5 Credits from MTU Cork is received when the course is completed successfully. Independent KNX Partner Qualification obtained (if the KNX exam is taken up by student).
