Course summary

This course provides skills and knowledge in the areas associated with modern pastries and breads. It is suitable as a foundation course or to build on existing skills. This is a hands-on course where the student will gain practical experience in class.

Students should note that Fees quoted relate to the academic year 2018-2019 only and are subject to change on an annual basis. Except where stated, course fees cover the cost of tuition only. 

An Information/Registration session will take place on Tuesday 4th September 2018 from 6.00pm to 8.00pm at the CIT Bishopstown Campus. Institute staff will be in attendance to offer career guidance and assistance.

Course fees must be paid before attending lectures.

Course Fee

€550 (includes exam fee). In addition, a €60 fee for the necessary work uniform is required.

Places are limited on this course and interviews may be held for participation. 

The course commences in September and will operate one evening per week per semester, consisting of a 4 hour practical class each evening from 6pm to 10pm.

Award

Single Module Certification (5 ECTS credits at Level 6 on the National Framework of Qualifications).

Note: Modifications to the configuration of the course may take place in accordance with changing requirements.

  • Places are limited on this course and interviews may be held for participation.
  • Applicants will be required to pay an acceptance fee of €550 online if a place on a course is offered.
