Staff Training

MTU EDI and Athena Swan in collaboration with Share Ireland, aim to create awareness amongst staff in relation to sexual harassment, disclosure, activism amongst other topics, by providing consent workshops and training to MTU staff. The training aims to provide a confidential, engaging, and reflective environment to all attendees, while creating awareness and subject for thought on Active Consent.

MARC Training by Dell Technologies

Our MTU colleagues are working in close collaboration with Dell Technologies to provide MARC training programme to MTU staff. MARC stands for Many Advocating for Real Change and provides training on Unconscious Bias, Privilege, Insider/Outsider Dynamics, and Gender Role Conditioning amongst other topics. While initially called Men Advocating for Real Change, Dell made the decision to change this to Many Advocating for Real Change to ensure greater inclusion and reach in the project/training.

The training is being offered following ongoing engagement with Dell Technologies, especially in the area of diversity and inclusion, by our MTU colleagues Antoinette Hogan, Dr Sheila Butler, Dr Deirdre O’Donovan, together with Caroline O’Reilly and Don Crowley. Fourth year students in the School of Business, taking the Workforce Diversity module have been involved in live Diversity & Inclusion case studies with Dell Technologies over the last two years. We would like to thank Dell Technologies for extending this offer of training to us.
