The CIT Disability Support Service (DSS) will be running an early Orientation for new CIT students who may need supports while in college.

We are holding our Orientation twice to allow more students to attend on the following dates:

Wednesday 3rd September 9.30am to 1.00pm on CIT Bishopstown Campus.

OR

Thursday 4th September 9.30am to 1.00pm on CIT Bishopstown Campus.

We would recommend that any student needing support at CIT from the Disability Support Service attend the Orientation. The same information will be covered on both days and includes:

• How to register with the Disability Support Service
• DSS Supports available such as Learning Support and Assistive Technology
• Supports in CIT
• Exam Accommodations
• Confidentiality

BOOKING A PLACE ON THE ORIENTATION*

To book a place, please email christine.nolan@cit.ie with these details:

► Which day you would like to attend
► Your name,
 ► Email address
 ► Mobile number
 ► CAO number
 ► Any access requirements – sign language interpreter etc.

You will then get an email from Christine Nolan in the Access Service to confirm your place and more information about the Orientation day.

*Please note that the Orientation is only for new CIT students. We will be running a Parents Information evening on Thursday 28th August in CIT to answer questions parents/guardians may have about the transition into third level – more information will be posted on the DSS website.
