CIT hosts EU game-based learning gathering

The DEIS Department of Education Development in The Cork Institute of Technology is today hosting a meeting of a major EU-funded project in the field of game-based learning. The project entitled ENGAGE, the European Network for Growing Activity in Game based learning in Education, aims to develop awareness among a range of European educational stakeholders (teachers, parents, school authorities, young designers, industry etc.) of the importance of computer and video games as educational tools. In attendance are representatives from FH JOANNEUM University of Applied Sciences, Graz, Austria; Florida Education Centre, Spain; Middle East Technical University, Ankara, Turkey; SCIENTER, Bologna, Italy; EFQUEL (European Foundation for Quality E-Learning), Belgium.
