“My practice encompasses mythology and other forms of narration. My work is figurative, and is an exploration of a real and of an imagined world. The reconstruction and reinterpretation of memory is an important element within my work. I am interested in the tension and boundaries that exist between the actual and the imaginary, and the questions that surround authenticity.”

Jo is a practicing artist based in Cork City, and is also a lecturer at the CIT Crawford College of Art & Design. She attended St. Martins School of Art and Goldsmiths College, London. Lives and works in Cork, Ireland. Her work is figuratively based and includes print, painting, and ceramics. Jo is a member of Cork Printmakers. She has exhibited widely, both in Ireland and abroad, and her work is in both private and public collections.
