A drawing and painting course for beginners and those with some experience who wish to improve their observational skills. Throughout the week we will concentrate on problems of composition and proportion through different drawing techniques. Colour light and tone will also be explored through the medium of painting. Subject matters covered will include life drawing, still life and landscape (weather permitting). The course is designed to improve the amount of visual information absorbed and translated into two dimensions. It is advised that students should be prepared to buy certain items of equipment, as those supplied are very basic. Advice will be given on what to buy at the start of the course.
