Opening night on Tuesday 27th November, the production will have three performances from the 27th – 29th, 8pm in the CIT Bishopstown Rory Gallagher Theatre.  The students undertake a modern piece from the esteemed Willy Russell, playwright of Blood Brothers and Shirley Valentine.

Following their successful staging of Heart Shaped Vinyl and Chatroom, the CIT Student Drama Society continue to perform modern and relevant plays which audiences can easily relate to. The play follows the story of Bride-to-be Linda and her Fiancée Dave in their pre wedding nights out. The antics of the couple and their entourages give a true to life depiction of the pre marriage ritual that results in an uplifting comedy for adults. (ages 15+)

This is the third time that Pharmaceutical Biotechnology student Pádraig Mullally will take the Director’s chair, having overseen both the Drama Society productions of 2011/2012.  Pádraig is pleased with the evolution of the play since the decision to undertake the project in September, “The cast and crew of fifteen have exceeded my expectations in their devotion to the play. From the initial reading of the script to the final production the members of the society have made significant contributions, taking the piece to another level.  Seriously it’s awesome, come see it!”
