This is for parents/guardians whose son or daughter is about to start a course in CIT in September, and may have concerns about them making their transition into third level college and want to know what supports are available and how to avail of these supports.
The Disability Support Service staff will go through how a new student registers online with the Service, what supports are available, how confidentiality of the Service works, how best to support your son/daughter, and it will include a final year CIT student speaking about their experiences at CIT and getting support. We will also answer questions parents/guardians may have about the transition into third level education.
