Progression Scheme

General Information

The CIT Progression Scheme is a supplementary admissions route to CIT for school leaver from 22 Cork City and County schools.  In addition to these schools any student who is registered with TUSLA (Child and Family Agency )  and students from the travelling community may also apply .

The CIT Progression Scheme for Linked Schools has been put in place to increase participation rates at third level among students who have the ability to succeed academically but may require the economic means or the necessary social support to do so.

CIT makes up to 50 places available for students through the Progression Scheme. All applicants (even those who gain entry to CIT on their own merit) may avail of post entry supports including college induction, academic supports, educational guidance and financial assistance where possible.
