Repeat Fees - EU Full-time and Part-time Students
REPEAT FEES
Full-time EU Undergraduate students who are repeating and attending classes are charged per Semester for the number of credits they are repeating as per the following schedule of Fees:

Students are billed in August / September for their Semester 1 modules.
Students are billed in December / January for their Semester 2 modules.
PART-TIME, EVENING & POSTGRADUATE REPEAT FEES
Students repeating and attending classes will be charged the full module fee.
Students are billed at the start of each semester.
EXAMS ONLY FULL & PART-TIME STUDENTS
Students who are resitting exams and not attending any classes will be charged €120 in total.
Please note that exams only students who Web Register for modules will be charged the full repeat and attending fees.
To register for exams only, students must complete the registration form, have it signed by their Head of Department and return it to the admissions office so they can amend your enrolment.
ONLINE REGISTRATION, NOTIFICATION AND PAYMENT OF FEES
Students will be notified by email to their MTU Student account with details on how the complete the online registration process by a specified date.
Students can view their fees, make a payment and print a receipt online by logging into Self-Service Banner. Please note that online registration must be completed prior to making an online payment of Fees.
IMPLICATIONS FOR LATE PAYMENT OF FEES
Where students fail to pay their fees on time their access to IT Services and exam results will be blocked and they may also incur an additional 10% late payment fee.
Students will be notified by email to their student A/C before any restrictions are applied.
WITHDRAWING FROM A COURSE
Students who wish to withdrawn from a course must notify the admissions office by completing the online withdrawal form. Where students fail to inform admissions of their withdrawal they will remain liable for any unpaid fees on their accounts.
REPEATING DUE TO MEDICAL OR EXTENUATING CIRCUMSTANCES.
Students previously in receipt of a SUSI grant will not be funded for their repeat year except in cases where there are medical or extenuating circumstances. Applications such as these are assessed on a case by case basis. You can advise SUSI that you are repeating a year for medical reasons in the additional notes section of the application form.
The assessors will review your application and you may be asked to submit supporting documentation as evidence of your medical circumstances.
Self-funding students who deferred or are repeating due to medical or extenuating circumstances can apply to the registrar for a credit of Fees paid in a previous year. This applies to both Full-time and Part-time Students.
