CIT Wins Two Awards at Annual Education Awards

Cork Institute of Technology won two awards at the annual Education Awards, held at the Ballsbridge Hotel in Dublin on 25th May 2017.

 

 

CIT was shortlisted in total for three categories for Best Online Learning Experience, Career Impact Award, and the Student Engagement & Communications Award. 

 

CIT Registrar & Vice President for Academic Affairs, Barry O'Connor, said "well done to all involved and to all colleagues and students who contributed to these nationally recognised CIT endeavours in Teaching & Learning. I would like to congratualte Marese Bermingham and the AnSEO team on winning the Student Engagement & Communications Award and to the Department of Biological Sciences who won the Career Impact Strategy Award. Well done also to the Technology Enhanced Learning Department who were shortlisted in the Best Online Learning Experience category. 

 

He added, "The Education Award 2017 is further recognition  of CIT’s national standing in this core activity. It is equally fitting that the pioneering teaching work of colleagues in Biological Sciences and TEL is recognised nationally".
