CCAD student, Donna Coogan, is a published poet and active in Writers Groups in Cork.  She is organising an evening of readings about THINGS by local poets and writers---as well as translations from Lithuanian poets. All are welcome!

Lord Mayor Catherine Clancy opened an exhibition of artwork produced by Chinese and Irish artists in Cork City Hall on Tuesday 28th January, 2014. The Legacy exhibition marks the Chinese New Year and celebrates the important connection between Cork and China.

Art students from Cork and Lithuania host a textiles exhibition at CIT Wandesford Quay Gallery
                                  
Things/Daiktai is an exhibition of textile artwork made through an exchange project between 35 textiles students from CIT Crawford College of Art and Design (CCAD) and Kaunas Art Institute of Vilnius Academy of the Arts, Lithuania. The students have been exchanging ideas over the past few months and have created work in response to the theme of ‘Things’ (or ‘Daiktai’ in Lithuanian).

In association with CIT Crawford College of Art and Design BA (Hons) in Contemporary Applied Art (Ceramics, Glass and Textiles) and MAKE Symposium in CIT Cork School of Music.


THINGS/DAIKTAI opens on Friday, 7th March at 6pm by Prof. Lesley Millar, MBE, International Curator, Author, Educator.
