CIT hosts the Irish Schools and Universities Cross Country Championships

Upwards of 3,000 athletes and supporters descended upon CIT on Saturday, 8th March 2014 for the Irish Schools and Universities Cross Country Championships. Despite January and February throwing up some of the wettest conditions on record the cross country course held up surprisingly well during the 10 races that were on the schedule. In the Universities competition, CIT students acquitted themselves very well with Mark O’Sullivan (Media Comms 2) recording the performance of the day by finishing in 9th position in the men’s event. Overall CIT finished 7th in the rankings. Full varsity results can be viewed here

Next stop for the team is the IUAA Track and Field Championships on 11th April.
