CIT's Nimbus Centre for Embedded Systems Research will create 27 new hi-tech research and development positions this year. Hiring is currently underway for several positions building on the 22 new jobs created in 2013 and the expansion of the Centre’s activities in the Internet of Things, Energy and Water Management technologies.

Nimbus received over €4M in funding in 2013 from Enterprise Ireland, Higher Education Authority, European Union, Science Foundation Ireland and Direct industry funding.

Nimbus is Ireland’s only dedicated research centre for networked embedded systems, the hidden computers that monitor and control many aspects of our working and living, operating our mobile phones, running machines in factories, controlling our domestic appliances and keeping our cars running safely. The Centre is focusing on four key application areas: Energy, Water, Location Based Services and management of the built environment.

The Nimbus Centre for Embedded Systems Research at CIT is Ireland’s only research centre devoted to the field of networked embedded electronic systems. It supports research, learning and industry – for more details visit http://nimbus.cit.ie
