CIT Targets Industry Professionals with New Higher Diploma in Business in Sales Management

The School of Business has launched a new Higher Diploma in Business in Sales Management which will be available from September 2014. Applications are now being accepted for this innovative, part-time programme, which is targeted at those working in, or aspiring to, sales management roles that have a foundation of experience in a sales environment.
Dr Pio Fenton, Head of Department of Marketing and International Business at CIT said “This is an ideal opportunity for those with sales experience to gain a top level qualification that recognises their ability while also expanding their knowledge. We have designed the programme to ensure a practical, and captivating, learning experience.”
The programme structure recognises the challenging nature of the sales role and provides the comfort of the traditional classroom environment with the flexibility of supported online delivery. Similarly, it deploys a workshop mode of delivery, enabling intense immersion in knowledge facilitated by lecturers and supported by key industry experts throughout.
The programme has emanated from a strong and articulated desire by industry to provide a flexibly delivered, high level, qualification to those working in sales roles in Irish industry. As no offering exists outside of Dublin, there were strong approaches from professional bodies such as the Sales Institute of Ireland as well as local employers.
