A Golden Era for CIT Engineering

Tremendous work has been undertaken over many years by the staff in CIT Engineering. They have worked tirelessly to create new opportunities for the students and the Institute. They have undertaken a combination of bottom-up and top-down initiatives that have produced results which, at this stage, occur so frequently that there is a risk that this level of success may be taken for granted.

CIT’s excellent reputation in the field of engineering and in related fields is indisputable. Without doubt, this is a golden era for CIT Engineering.

 

Monday 11th November: Approximately 240 people attended the CIT Engineering Roadshow in Bandon. The feedback received in relation to this event, and to events held previously across the region, has been tremendously positive. NEWSLINK
Next roadshow will be held at the Castle Hotel, Macroom on Monday 18th November.

 

 

Wednesday 13th November:  Two CIT students won National awards and have both been shortlisted for consideration for the Overall Winner Award of the 2013 MEETA Asset Management and Maintenance Association Finals. NEWSLINK

 

 

Thursday 14th November: CIT Water Systems and Services Innovation Centre (WSSIC) won €260k in Enterprise Ireland commercialisation funding to support the development of a highly innovative waste water project. NEWSLINK

 

 

 

The design excellence of CIT Architecture Factory was recognised at the Institute of Designers in Ireland Annual Award Ceremony and won the Grand Prix for Best Contribution to Design in Ireland in 2013. In addition, the Sustainable Reuse and Best Educational Award prizes were also won at this event. NEWSLINK

 

 

Friday 15th November: the National Sustainable Building Energy Testbed was officially launched. NEWSLINK
