Completing the MSc in Digital Marketing Strategy in Cork Institute of Technology was key for my career growth. It provided me with the theoretical knowledge and framework for growing my career in the Digital Marketing space. Completing the programme part time and online allowed me to continue my process of working full time while also furthering my knowledge in the digital marketing space. This really allowed me to implement what I learned as I went which I found to be a vital aspect of my learning. Since completing the programme I have moved from working full time in a digital agency to starting my own business in the space. 

The modules in the course allowed me to learn and think strategically around all areas of digital marketing. Everything from branding, to data assessment to strategy implementation has undoubtedly helped me in my career path and now my own business growth. The lecturers all provided deep insight into their areas of expertise which lent to a phenomenal learning experience. I would highly recommend this course to anyone looking to further their learning and professional development in the digital marketing space.

I graduated with a Master of Science Digital Marketing Strategy with First Class Honours from Cork Institute of Technology in 2018. This programme has had a huge impact on my career, providing me with a detailed knowledge and understanding of digital marketing strategies while giving me a set of digital tools to apply. An essential component of the programme was the development and practical application of digital marketing campaigns through working with live business cases throughout the Masters.  The field of digital marketing is ever-changing with new advancements and technologies happening all the time. The programme afforded me the confidence to navigate this constantly developing environment.

The Masters in Digital Marketing Strategy at CIT has proven very beneficial to me and my role as Digital Marketing Executive in Crowleys DFK. Not only do we learn theory but there is also a huge emphasis on the practical side. We get to work with companies in developing strategies and implementing tactics across all areas of digital marketing. This is much more useful and exciting than doing it theoretically! It's also a great way to build up your network. 


I have been able to apply my learnings (including digital strategy development, content creation, SEO and analytics) to my role at Crowleys DFK, which has helped in getting us to the finals of the Cork Digital Marketing Awards for the last 2 years. 


I am now looking forward to carrying out the action research project, which allows us to apply an area of digital marketing in which we are interested in to a business and determine its effectiveness, another great way to improve our skills in the real world.
